Endodontist in San Francisco

Dr. Choi's journey has been directed by two ideals; intellectual curiosity and service to his community. Born in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Choi emigrated to the Bay Area in high school. He attended the University of California at Berkeley were he studied Molecular and Cellular Biology with an emphasis in Neuroscience. It was during his time at Berkeley that he discovered a love for dentistry.

Dr. Choi would go on to serve five years in the Army, treating soldiers in Georgia, Louisiana, and distant Korea. He healed many service members with root canal therapy, and developed a deep appreciation for this complicated, beautiful structure within the human tooth.

Having completed his active duty, Dr. Choi sought a Residency in Endodontistry through the Veterans Affairs Healthcare system. There he would continue his work with soldiers and veterans while working towards his specialty certificate in Endodontics.

Now, Dr. Choi brings his wealth of experience to work with his patients at the San Francisco Dentist team of Pacific Heights Dental, helping the people of the community through Root Canal Therapy leading him to become our leading Endodontist in San Francisco. He continues to serve as a member of the Army Reserve and teaches at UCSF. He and his wife Soyoung have two young daughters, Clara and Stella, and enjoy hiking, soccer, badminton and traveling as a family.
